Bothered by a long upper lip that covers your teeth when smiling? In some cases, lips enhancement is achieved not by lip fillers injections, but by a minimally invasive procedure: Upper Lip Lift may be the right choice for your case.
What is an upper Lip Lift?
Upper Lip Lifting, or Lip Lift, is a surgical in-office procedure aimed to reduce the distance between the base of the nose and the upper lift, with the end result of a lifted upper lip.
What are the benefits of a Lip Lift?
With age, the upper lip tends to stretch downwards giving the face an older appearance. Some people, genetically, are born with a longer upper lip tissue. The Upper Lip Lift aims to restore facial proportions by shortening the distance between the base of the nose and the upper lip.
How is the procedure performed?
The procedure is performed by a small incision at the base of the nose, called Sub-nasal Bullhorn (because it is shaped like so) and the tissue at the sides and the centre of the upper lip is lifted and sutured at the base of the nose.
How long will the results last?
The procedure is done in-office, under local anaesthetic, and it takes around 15-20 minutes only. The scar is minimally visible, since it’s done at the base of the nose and it solves in time. Results are permanent.
What should I expect after Lip Lift Surgery?
A younger, lifted appreance of the face overall, and in specific a shortened distance between the nose and the upper lip.
